About Me

Louise is a musician, artist and journalist. During her varied career she has found that each of these subjects have combined and blended to help in her creativity.

After many years of studying voice, she graduated with distinctions in vocal performance from Trinity College London (A.T.C.L. and L.T.C.L), has a Masters in Ethnomusicology and a BA in Music and English and an MA in Jouralism. Louise released the album ‘Dream’ which was recorded at Silverwood Studios.

While studying, Louise worked as a Bunratty Castle Entertainer, wedding ceremony soloist and recorded and toured  with Anúna, she has lived and breathed Irish music and culture for many years and expresses this through her love of the Irish landscape by blending observation and imagination in her paintings

Louise has won many local, national and UK prizes for her artwork while in her teens. She  enjoys working in many mediums, such as oils, acrylics, and pastels. She works from her own photographs as references for landscapes, and enjoys capturing a mood or atmosphere in her work. She has exhibited at the Courthouse Gallery in Ennistymon, Co Clare, Gallery Eleven Stillorgan Dublin and had three paintings chosen to be part of ‘The Secret Garden’ exhibition in Thomastown, The Berkley Gallery, a part of the Kilkenny arts Festival.

Louise combines writing as a freelance journalist with teaching voice and creating art.
